Hi, we're Kimberly and Brian, the husband-and-wife team behind The Velvet Cow Tallow.

What began as my personal search for clean, nourishing skincare quickly became a shared dream. Today, we're proud to handcraft every product together with a commitment to quality, honesty, and simple ingredients you can trust.

As I grew older, I found myself searching for skincare that truly nourished my skin without relying on harsh chemicals or unnecessary fillers. I wanted products made with ingredients that worked with my skin—not against it.

That journey led me to discover the remarkable benefits of grass-fed beef tallow.

Rich in naturally occurring vitamins and skin-loving fatty acids, tallow has been used for generations to deeply moisturize and nourish the skin. Because it closely resembles the oils our skin naturally produces, it absorbs beautifully, leaving skin feeling soft, hydrated, and cared for.

Once I experienced the difference for myself, I knew I wanted to create skincare that others could feel confident using every day.

We proudly source our grass-fed beef tallow from trusted farms that share our commitment to responsible farming and quality.

Every batch is carefully wet rendered and then dry rendered to remove impurities and excess moisture. This meticulous process produces an exceptionally pure, clean tallow with a smooth texture and minimal natural scent—the perfect foundation for truly nourishing skincare.

From there, we thoughtfully blend our tallow with carefully selected botanicals, nourishing oils, minerals, and other skin-supporting ingredients chosen for their quality and purpose—not simply to fill a jar.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches right here in Maryland, allowing us to maintain the quality, consistency, and care that have become the heart of our brand.
